We load for a handful of cartridges already and are adding more all the time. We love doing custom load development. You spent good money on your equipment, and now you want to maximize the potential. In a lot of cases factory ammunition can leave a lot to be desired and it's manufactured to fit every rifle in that caliber in existence. We believe the key to good accuracy starts with consistency. So why not have ammunition that is sized and tuned specifically to your rifle, with the bullet of your choice, with significantly lower standard deviations, helping keep you more on target more of the time?
Good load development requires good software. We use multiple programs to develop the best loads possible by inputing the exact parameters and specifications of each individual load that we create. No two custom loads are the same and because of that we run simulation before we ever start sizing cases.
We use top quality equipment in our loading process, including high quality dies, digital powder tricklers, and an induction annealer. Our equipment allows us to produce very high level consistency and uniformity, ensuring that the end product exceeds all expectations.
We collect real world data during the testing phase of our load development. This includes muzzle velocity, standard deviation, group size, and in some instances we can even measure real world chamber pressure. This data allows us to further refine our custom loads while providing you with real world results.
At Candlestick Precision, we take our work very seriously. We always do our best to take the extra steps, and go the extra mile, so that you can hit that mile target if that's your goal. Sometimes the devil is in the details. For instance lapping the bullet seating stems to the profile of the bullet so there is no hard edge deforming the bullet jacket. Or measuring and sorting primers, weight sorting bullets, and many other small but significant steps that in turn out the results on the paper or in the freezer.
